1)Use a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water (30°C or below). High heat can shrink muslin and damage the weave.
2)Wash your muslin items with other soft fabrics. Avoid washing them with items that have zippers, hooks, or Velcro, as these can snag the open-weave fabric.
3) Use Mild Detergent 🌿Use a gentle, baby-safe detergent.Avoid Bleach: Never use bleach or harsh chemicals, as they weaken the natural cotton fibers and can
irritate your baby’s skin.
4)Skip the Fabric Softener 🚫It sounds counterintuitive, but muslin doesn’t need chemical softeners. It has a natural way of softening on its own through
the agitation of water and air.
5)Drying: Air is Best 🌬️Line Dry: For the best results, hang your jablas, pyjamas, and feeding covers to air dry. This preserves the “crinkle” texture that muslin is famous for. Tumble Dry: If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting and remove the items while they are still slightly damp to prevent over-drying and stiffness.
6) No Ironing Needed ✨The beauty of muslin is its natural, wavy texture! Ironing can flatten the fibers and reduce the breathability of the “Aero” series. If you must iron, use a very low steam setting.
“Pro-Tip” :”If your muslin feels a little stiff after a wash, don’t worry! A quick shake and a few minutes of wear will bring back that signature ‘cloud-like’ softness immediately.”
